Dear Nissley Family, (A copy of the
original letter sent out)
July 4 weekend of 1999 will be our family reunion. We on
the planning committee need some input from you before we
can plan further.
You will find enclosed copies of facilities at Laguna Beach
Christian Retreat in Panama City, Florida. We need you to look
at this information very carefully. You will be responsible for
contracting you married children and if necessary make
copies of this information to mail to them. By July 15, 1989 we
need to have a report back from you telling us as closely as
you can how many from you family will plan to attend our
reunion. Also, we want you to look at the cottages and
apartments that are highlighted along with the price list to
determine where you family, or families would like to stay. In
other words, if you would like to all stay in one cottage then
mark that. If you want to bunch up in smaller groups maybe
the apartments would be better. When we compile all the
returned information, we the committee, will determine if
more want cottages or more want apartments and group
everyone in the Same area. There also is a place very close
by if anyone wants to bring RV's. There is a hotel across the
road, too, if anyone prefers more quiet and privacy.
We cannot check in before 2:00pm on Friday and must be
out by 10:00am on Monday, unless there is not a retreat
happening at that time. However, if anyone wants to come
early Friday, they can go swimming and use the showers, etc.
at the beach. The same applies to staying after 10:00am on
Monday. Of course, if any of you from out of state want to
spend more time in the area, you may make additional lodging
arrangements elsewhere, including staying in some of our
homes.
Please check the room rates sheet for the highlighted
prices. The cottage and apartments say how many can stay in
each room. The caretaker there said we can put people on
the floor in sleeping bags or some have put two small children
at each end of a bunk bed. But you can figure out what would
work for you families and see what it would cost per person
with several scenario's. There are kitchens and bathrooms in
each unit. The apartments have TV's, the cottages do not.
